SED Punjab Takes Major Step Toward Ending Traditional Paperwork
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Sep, 2026) The School education Department (SED) Punjab has officially taken a major step toward ending traditional paperwork by shifting core administrative workflows entirely online. This comprehensive transition focuses heavily on digital governance, improving efficiency, and saving billions in administrative costs across the board.
SED official said that undergoing a massive digital transformation aimed at eliminating manual paperwork and moving operations online. This shift targets administrative bottlenecks, reduces corruption, and enhances overall transparency across province in public school offices.
The department is eliminating old working style by utilising digital platforms to automate processes that traditionally required heavy paperwork and manual processing: Retirement, Promotion lists and pension work.
It may be mentioned here that the Sindh government is also adopting the same model.
In this connection, the School Education Department has launched an online portal for teacher retirement and pension management. This prevents retired employees from having to deal with traditional delays, bribery, and recommendations.
SED officials said that the department is eliminating physical file movement and shifting completely to the E-Filing and Office Automation System.
