Seerat of Holy Prophet (PBUH) Provides Universal Message of Peace, Justice, Tolerance: Ombudsperson
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - August 25, 2026) The office of the Ombudsperson Punjab organised a solemn ceremony to commemorate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), highlighting the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad’s (PBUH) teachings of peace, justice, compassion, tolerance, and respect for human dignity, particularly the rights and dignity of women.
Ombudsperson Punjab, Dr Najma Afzal Khan, along with officers and a large number of employees, attended the ceremony. It commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat-e-Rasool Maqbool (PBUH).
Speakers illuminated the significance of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH), the Prophet's (PBUH) teachings, and his exemplary character.
Dr Najma Afzal Khan, in her address, stated that the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) offer a universal message of peace, love, justice, and tolerance for all humanity. She emphasised that Islam has granted women dignity, honour, protection, and equal human status while establishing robust safeguards for their rights.
She further noted that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) placed significant emphasis on women’s education, dignity, respect, inheritance rights, and their meaningful contribution to society. “Ensuring justice for women and protecting their rights is a tangible reflection of the teachings of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH),” she added.
The ceremony concluded with a special prayer for the security, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan, the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and the country's stability.
