Seven Arrested In Crackdown On Gutka Mafia
LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 09, 2026) | Sabzazar police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested seven alleged members of the gutka mafia for selling harmful gutka, unhealthy chewable products and illegal shisha flavours under the guise of pan shops.
According to SP Iqbal Town Sidra Khan, the arrested suspects were identified as Saqlain, Waheed, Irfan, Umair, Rauf, Arshad and Yasir. She said the suspects were allegedly involved in selling harmful gutka, chewable tobacco products, chhalia and illegal flavours while operating pan shops.
Police recovered a substantial quantity of harmful and illegal items from their possession and registered cases against the accused.
SP Sidra appreciated the Sabzazar police teams for taking action against the gutka sellers.
