Shaheed Constable Waseefullah Laid To Rest With Full State Honours In Bannu

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Sep, 2026) The funeral prayer of Bannu Police traffic warden, Constable Waseefullah, who was martyred in a firing incident, was offered with full state honours at the Bannu Police Lines on Wednesday.

The funeral was attended by City Superintendent of Police (SP), Salahuddin Kundi, Traffic Warden, SP Saifur Rehman Khan, Security, SP Muhammad Ali Khan, other police officers and personnel, and members of the martyr’s family.

Police officers laid wreaths on the coffin draped in the national flag, while a smartly turned-out police contingent presented a guard of honour.

Prayers were offered for the martyr’s forgiveness and elevation in ranks in the hereafter and for patience for the bereaved family.

According to Bannu Police, unidentified attackers opened fire on Constable Waseefullah and his brother Amir Khan the previous night, resulting in the deaths of both. Waseefullah was performing his duties at the Traffic Headquarters Bannu.

Police officials assured the bereaved family that those involved in the incident would be traced and brought to justice at the earliest.

Following the funeral prayer, the martyr’s body was transported to his native area for burial with full state honours.
