Sheikh Qaiser Mahmood Hails Pakistan’s Progress, Urges Focus On Development - UrduPoint
CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Aug, 2026) Prominent businessman, industrialist and social and political activist Sheikh Qaiser Mahmood Chiniot on Sunday said Pakistan is moving in the right direction towards development and stability, but certain anti-national and vested interests are attempting to create unrest and disrupt the country’s progress.
Talking to the media, he stated that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government had taken extensive measures to stabilize the national economy and control inflation. He claimed this had also helped restore Pakistan’s confidence and standing on the international stage, adding that the government is taking serious steps to promote Chiniot's renowned industrial sector, support local business, and strengthen agriculture to provide direct relief to the people.
Sheikh Qaiser Mahmood argued that those pursuing politics of confrontation, protests, and chaos are hindering Pakistan’s economic prosperity and self-reliance. He emphasized the need for political stability and continuity of development policies rather than disruptive politics.
He recalled that history shows the PML-N's consistent focus on infrastructure development and public-oriented projects, including motorways and power initiatives. Despite challenges and negative tactics and conspiracies by anti-national elements, he expressed confidence in the ongoing development process, stating that Pakistan will be taken towards greater prosperity and progress in line with the vision of Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the government.
