We presented our demands to the government delegation, which conveyed its concerns; no discussion took place on unconditionally postponing the long march, says the Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Aain Pakistan spokesperson.
ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Oct, 2026) Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Aain Pakistan spokesperson Akhunzada Hussain Yousafzai has stated that all participants had agreed to keep the negotiations details private, but Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sherry Rehman violated this agreement.
Speaking to a private television channel, he explained that they couldn't comment on the negotiations due to the collective decision to keep them confidential. He added, however, that Sherry Rehman disregarded this agreement. He further criticized her actions, stating that a senior parliamentarian like her shouldn't exhibit such irresponsibility.
Akhunzada Hussain revealed that they had submitted their demands to the government delegation, who expressed their reservations. He mentioned that they requested time for consultation but did not discuss postponing the long march unconditionally. He strongly condemned Sherry Rehman's statement in this regard.
