The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Rawalpindi has summoned arguments from both the prosecution and defence on September 5, regarding separate pleas seeking the cancellation of bail granted to suspects in the Sidra Arab murder case and challenging the court's jurisdiction.
During the court proceeding, Public Prosecutor Rana Saadat Ali represented the state, while defence counsels Basharat Ullah and Ilyas Siddiqui appeared on behalf of the accused.
The prosecution submitted an application requesting the court to cancel the bail granted to the suspects nominated in the murder case. The ATC subsequently issued notices to the relevant parties, directing them to present their arguments during the next scheduled hearing.
Conversely, the defence counsels filed a petition challenging the legal jurisdiction of the Anti-Terrorism Court to hear this specific case. The court also summoned arguments on this matter from both sides on September 5.
