Sindh CM Calls For Protection, Empowerment Of Women, Girls
KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Sep, 2026) Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, in his special message on the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Women and Girls, on Saturday said that indigenous women and girls around the world were playing an important role in the development and prosperity of their societies.

The chief minister stressed the need to protect the rights of indigenous women and girls and provide them with equal opportunities. He highlighted the rich history of leadership and service among indigenous women of Sindh, citing notable figures like Mai Bakhtawar and Benazir Bhutto as symbols of resistance.
Murad Ali Shah emphasized that empowering indigenous women and girls is crucial for sustainable and inclusive development. He declared, "Ensuring the rights, dignity and protection of indigenous women and girls is the responsibility of all of us."
