Sindh Governor Meets Delegation Of Local Government Reporters Association
KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Sep, 2026) A delegation of the Local Government Reporters Association met the Governor of Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi, at the Governor House.
The delegation was led by Local Government Reporters Association President, Suleman Saadat Khan. During the meeting, they discussed issues faced by journalists, coverage of local government affairs, and matters related to the media.
Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi stated that reporters covering local government affairs fulfill an essential role by keeping the public informed about facts and developments. He emphasized that their role is crucial in bringing public issues to the attention of the government. He added, “Positive and responsible journalism plays an important role in improving society”.
Local Government Reporters Association President urged for members of their association to be given their rightful share in the facilities and benefits provided by the federal government to reporters. Governor Nehal Hashmi assured the delegation that he would address their legitimate concerns with the Federal Ministry of Information and work towards resolving them.
