Sindhi Adabi Sangat Women Chapter to Publish Performance Report of Their Creative Work
UrduPoint (4th Sep, 2026) - The 27th meeting of the Sindhi Adabi Sangat Women’s Chapter was held in Hyderabad at the Khana Badosh Writers Café.
Dr. Hussain Musarat, Secretary of the chapter, introduced Sindhi writers and highlighted their significant contributions to Sindhi literature. Papers were presented on the literary works, art, and themes of notable authors including Gali Sada Rangani, Popati Hiranandani, Kala Prakash, Rita Shahani, and others.
Since it was the death anniversary of Hiranandani, intellectual women shared their views on her creativity and literary services.
Dr. Parveen Musa Memon presented a detailed paper on the art and thought of Sindhi writers, offering a critical review of Gali Sada Rangani's novel "Unity". Zareen Rafiq praised Popti Hiranandani, highlighting the impact of her stories on women during that era. She noted that Hiranandani’s works were published before "Hayati Ja Sona Rupa Varak", inspiring women with her narratives.
Rafiq also mentioned notable male writers who contributed to Sindhi literature before partition, such as Mirza Qalich Beg, Dayaram Gudumal, Parmanand Mewaram, and Maulana Deen Muhammad.
Salma Qadri discussed the introduction of Sindhi writers and their literary works. The meeting concluded with a decision to publish a performance report for the Sindhi Adabi Sangat Women Chapter. A birthday cake was cut marking the chapter’s second anniversary.
In her presidential address, Nilofar Bhutto commended Secretary Dr. Hussain Musarat and emphasized the importance of the chosen literary session topic.
The event was attended by Dr. Haseen Musarat, Dr. Parveen Moosa Memon, Zarin Rafique, Salma Qadri, Nazeeran Mujadid, Haseena Saand, Rifi, Naseem Jalbani, Najma Panhwar, and Nilofar Bhutto.
