SIUT Observes World Physiotherapy Day
SIUT observed World Physiotherapy Day 2026 with awareness activities highlighting the crucial role of physiotherapy in patient recovery, rehabilitation, and enhancing quality of life. This year’s theme focused on the impact of physiotherapy and physical activity in managing and rehabilitating cardiovascular diseases and strokes.
The release stated that at SIUT, physiotherapy is a vital component of patient care. Through rehabilitation and ongoing support, the team assists patients in regaining movement, strength, and independence. The institute’s commitment to providing free treatment with dignity and without discrimination was emphasized during the observance.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), one-third of the global population lives with a health condition that could benefit from rehabilitation. However, many still lack access to essential rehabilitation services. Therefore, raising awareness and improving access to rehabilitation remains crucial for enhancing patient recovery and overall well-being.
