The Environment Protection Department Sialkot on Tuesday sealed six hotels for failing to install suction hoods as part of measures to control smog and air pollution.
According to details, the department had issued notices to the hotels, directing them to install suction hoods within one week. However, action was taken against the violators on Khadim Ali Road, Lari Adda, Shahabpura Road, and Defence Road.
The sealed hotels include:
- Sialkot Grill and Umar Chargha on Khadim Ali Road
- Kababish BBQ and Awan-e-Lazzat on Defence Road
- Spin Ghar Shinwari at Lari Adda
- Butt Karahi on Shahabpura Road.
The crackdown was part of ongoing efforts by the Environment Protection Department to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and control air pollution in Sialkot.
