SMIU VC Salutes Martyrs, Veterans of 1965 War on Defence Day

Karachi, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 05, 2026) The Vice Chancellor of Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU), Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai, has stated that the War of 1965 serves as a reminder of the bravery, courage, determination, patriotism, and sacrifice displayed by our Armed Forces' soldiers. He expressed this on the occasion of Pakistan's Defence and Martyrs Day.

Dr. Sahrai, a prominent figure at the alma mater of Pakistan's founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, emphasized that India has consistently denied Pakistan's existence since its inception, leading to frequent acts of aggression. He highlighted that India's aggression in May last year was met with a strong response from Pakistan's Armed Forces, leaving them humiliated and disgraced globally.

Paying his respects to the Armed Forces, Dr. Sahrai encouraged the youth of Pakistan to remain mentally prepared to defend their nation whenever required. He stressed that the youth of SMIU, in particular, should stand alongside the Armed Forces and the nation for the country's development, prosperity, and security.
