SPAL Steps Up Cleanliness Operations Ahead of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH)
SPAL (Suthra Punjab Agency) has intensified its cleanliness drive across Lahore ahead of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), deploying over 2,318 sanitation workers to maintain hygiene along procession routes, at religious gatherings, and around major mosques.
Special Cleanliness Plan
Under the direction of LWMC CEO Sheryar Arif Khan, sanitation teams are working in three shifts as part of a special cleanliness plan. The CEO revealed that 160 major mosques across Lahore have already been cleaned and washed, with dedicated staff assigned to upcoming processions and gatherings.
Night Shift and Lime Sprinkling
Additionally, 182 workers are on night shifts, ensuring mechanical sweeping and washing of major roads. Lime will be scattered along the procession routes of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) as further special arrangements.
Manual Sweeping and Waste Clearance
Sanitation workers are also deployed for manual sweeping and waste clearance along the routes of Milad gatherings and processions, focusing on areas like Milad Chowk, Circular Road, Sunheri Mosque, Bhaati Gate, Delhi Gate, the Walled City, and Data Darbar. SPAL teams are also active on Fort Road, Gulshan Ravi, and Multan Road, as well as Mall Road, Jail Road, District Courts, Islampura, Sanda, and Outfall Road.
CEO's Statement
CEO Sheryar Arif Khan emphasized that these special cleanliness operations will continue until the conclusion of all Milad celebrations, rallies, and processions. He appealed to citizens to cooperate with SPAL staff and contribute to maintaining a clean city environment.
