Strict Action Ordered Against Militants and Facilitators

Commissioner Kohat Division, Syed Motasim Billah Shah, has ordered intensified action against militants and their facilitators as part of efforts to implement Provincial Action Plan.

During a high-level meeting chaired by Shah in his office, attended by Kohat Deputy Inspector General of Police Irfan Tariq, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz Wazir, security officials, and District Deputy Commissioners and Police Chiefs via video link, the following directives were issued:

  • No leniency will be shown to anyone involved in terrorism or illegal activities.
  • Stricter action against unregistered and suspicious vehicles, with a focus on strengthening vehicle profiling and scrutinizing the records of rent-a-car vehicles and their users.
  • Maintaining close surveillance of suspicious individuals and activities, ensuring swift action on reported suspicious activities.
  • Emphasizing the importance of engaging local communities in implementing the Provincial Action Plan. Quarters concerned were directed to strengthen collaboration with elders, community leaders, and residents to enhance intelligence sharing, public awareness, and confidence in security measures.

Authorities encouraged residents to report suspicious people, vehicles, and unusual activities to relevant law enforcement agencies, highlighting the crucial role of public cooperation in ensuring lasting peace and security.
