Strict Conditions Imposed on Driving License Tests

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Sep, 2026) A new procedure for driving licenses will come into effect from September 17, imposing strict conditions on the testing process.

New Procedure Details:

  • Road tests must be taken within 24 hours of passing the e-sign test. Failure to do so will result in invalidating the e-sign test result, requiring a restart of the entire process.
  • Officers are directed to strictly enforce these new rules.
  • Even if both tests are passed within 24 hours, approval is contingent on generating a PSID (Payment Slip ID).
  • If a PSID is not generated, both test results will lapse after 24 hours, and the process will be canceled if the fee is not deposited within 7 days.
  • In case of PSID expiration, e-sign and road tests must be retaken within 24 hours.

Traffic Authorities' Actions:

Traffic authorities at road test sites will accept applications for regular licenses, following instructions from DIG Traffic across the province.
