RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News) - Highlighting the historic resolve between the armed forces and the nation during the 1965 war, students and administrative leadership commemorated Defence Day with intense patriotic fervor, academic speeches, and cultural performances at Allama Iqbal Mission High school on Friday.
Principal's Address
Addressing the gathering, Principal Yasir Rehman underlined the strategic and moral significance of September 6, stating that the defence of the homeland during the 1965 conflict remains an enduring testament to national unity, faith, and military valour. He emphasized that the joint resolve demonstrated by the armed forces and civilian population successfully thwarted enemy designs, establishing a legacy of supreme sacrifice that continues to guide national defence policy.
Vice Principal's Tribute
Vice Principal Misbah Tahir appreciated how courageous armed forces countered enemy attacks and saved the motherland. She also highlighted the critical operational role played by the military leadership during Marka-e-Haq 2025.
The speakers praised Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu for their resolute command, tactical foresight, and air defence superiority. Special mention was made of the Pakistan Air Force for destroying eight invading Indian fighter jets during the recent engagement.
