Sub-inspector Arrested Over Corruption Charges
An Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) team arrested a police sub-inspector for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs50,000 from a citizen. According to the ACE spokesperson, the team led by Circle Officer Amar Yasir apprehended police officer Muhammad Muneer while he was accepting the bribe from the complainant. The marked currency notes were also recovered from the accused.
He stated that legal proceedings had been initiated, and the accused would face trial for allegedly misusing his authority and pressuring the complainant to pay a bribe for resolving his case.
