Syrian Democratic Forces Dissolved and Fully Integrated into the Syrian Army
Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have been dissolved and fully integrated into the Syrian Army, announced Mazloum Abdi on Tuesday. This marked the completion of their mission as an independent military force, with the step signifying a new phase focused on peace, stability, and rebuilding Syria.
Abdi, speaking at a press conference in Damascus, highlighted that the SDF’s role had ended following an agreement with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa and the successful integration process. He expressed his hope that this transition would be from battlefields to construction sites and from a weaponized era to one of peace.
Education in Kurdish Language
Regarding education in the Kurdish language, Abdi mentioned that President al-Sharaa had repeatedly affirmed the right to Kurdish education, indicating an open stance towards protecting and developing this decision in the future. He emphasized their vision for a new Syria where all its people—Kurds, Arabs, Turkmen, and Assyrians—can thrive, united and stable.
