Tank Elders Urged to Help Maintain Peace

Deputy Commissioner Tank, Jamshed Khan, has urged local elders, religious scholars and residents to collaborate with the administration and police for maintaining peace and enhancing security in the district.
Addressing a peace jirga at his office, the DC emphasized that lasting peace is unattainable without public cooperation. He declared that the administration, police, security forces, elders, and residents must unite to foster a peaceful atmosphere.
He assured stern action against those challenging state authority, adding that law-enforcement agencies are fully prepared to safeguard citizens’ lives and property. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of police and security forces, describing their services as unforgettable. He also expressed pride in the families of police martyrs.
District Police Officer Abdul Samad Khan also underscored the importance of public cooperation in upholding law and order. He called on elders and community representatives to play a constructive role and support the administration in resolving local issues.
During the jirga, elders and religious scholars shared insights about the situation in their respective areas and raised concerns faced by local residents. The deputy commissioner assured continuous communication between the administration and the public, promising to address their grievances. He also encouraged participants to intensify efforts for promoting peace, brotherhood, and social harmony in the district.
