Task Force Conducts Major Operation; Recovers Raw Material and Finished Mainpuri
HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 29, 2026)
Task Force personnel carried out a massive operation within the limits of City Police Station and successfully recovered a substantial quantity of raw material and finished Mainpuri.
According to a police spokesperson, the operation was conducted based on directives from DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razzaq Khan Dharejo and SSP Hyderabad Shahzeb Chachar. Task Force Chief Zain Raza Baloch led the operation, along with his team and City SHO Inspector Tahir Mughal. They acted upon a tip-off near Khokhar Mohalla Furniture Market but two Mainpuri suppliers, Abdul Rasheed (alias Achhu) and Umair Kala, managed to escape upon spotting the police.
During the operation, the police seized:
- 730 packets of finished Mainpuri
- 96 kg of raw material
- 8 packets of wrappers
- Other equipment used in Mainpuri production
Police operations are ongoing to apprehend the absconding suspects. A case has been registered against them under Section 8 of the Gutka and Mainpuri Act.
