Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar stated at a press conference that the PTI's practice involved coming for talks while refusing to abandon its double standards, hypocrisy, and contradictory policies. He claimed the party was adept at making U-turns and incapable of maintaining any consistent stance.

"They are obsessed with a sit-in; come on then! We will make full arrangements for them," he said.

Tarar addressed concerns regarding the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating that protecting the province's citizens was the provincial government's responsibility. He criticized the provincial government for its failure to safeguard lives and property if it couldn't ensure public safety.

He highlighted internal discrepancies within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), citing contrasting statements from Salman Akram Raja and Shafi Jan regarding the party's terrorism policy. Atta Tarar accused the PTI of encouraging terrorism, nurturing terrorists, and spreading terrorism across the province.

"They take benefits from Pakistan and support Afghanistan; this double standard cannot continue," he said, emphasizing the need for a clear choice between supporting Pakistan or Afghanistan.

The minister alleged that the PTI government had taken no action against terrorism and shown no seriousness in combating it. He described any policy shift they proposed as tantamount to protecting terrorists, employing a double standard, hypocrisy, and contradictory policies.

"That is why innocent civilians and children are dying in Hangu, DI Khan, and Kohat, and rescue workers are shedding their blood, while Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s priority is securing the release of a prisoner," he said.

Tarar questioned who was preventing the PTI from taking action against terrorism, highlighting that other provincial governments convened apex committee meetings, while the PTI refrained. He attributed this to the PTI's sympathy for terrorists and described it as having ideological connections with terrorist organizations.
