The long march has become long even before it began; the chief minister is now talking about negotiations. I do not support governor’s rule; those who impose it will become political martyrs, and there is considerable anger over the prospect of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ministers being taken, stated the MNA in a TV interview.

Member of the National Assembly, Sher Afzal Marwat claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was on the back foot while the government was playing its strokes openly. He revealed that behind-the-scenes negotiations with PTI had been continuing for three years, but the government wanted to push the party against the wall, while statements by government ministers amounted to an open challenge.

Speaking to a private tv channel, Sher Afzal Marwat noted that the long march had become long even before it began, and that the chief minister was now discussing negotiations. He emphasized that PTI was on the defensive while the government was playing its cards openly.

He further added that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PTI’s only stronghold, was under threat from the establishment and the government, who were considering depriving the party of this stronghold.

Marwat expressed his opposition to governor’s rule, arguing that those imposing it would become political martyrs. He highlighted the growing resentment over the potential arrest of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ministers, stating that imposing governor’s rule would only escalate hatred.

According to Marwat, Imran Khan’s correct instructions were not being conveyed to the party. Nothing could be said until the central leadership met the former prime minister.

He mentioned that Barrister Gohar, chosen by Imran Khan, was not being welcomed within the party. Marwat suggested that Barrister Gohar’s own march might have already begun before the main march.

He concluded by saying that there was a possibility of a change in government, adding that those assigned by Imran Khan for protests were all “wrong numbers.” He also criticized the government for the large number of containers they had placed, describing it as unusual behavior.
