Signs Savinho from Manchester City for £75m
Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Brazil winger Savinho from Manchester City for an initial fee of £75 million, with up to £10 million in add-ons possible.
"It's taken a while but I'm very happy to be here... He told me he wants to help me reach the highest level, and I believe we can do that together, as a team." – Savinho
Savinho, aged 22, joined City from French club Troyes in 2024 for £30.8 million and has made 84 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals and providing 16 assists.
He follows Mateus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali, and Jan Paul van Hecke as new arrivals at Spurs this summer, with a combined transfer fee of £312 million.
Manager's Take
Roberto de Zerbi, Tottenham's manager, praised Savinho's creativity and impact:
"Savio is a player who brings energy, imagination, and quality in wide positions. He has the courage to attack defenders and the ability to change a game with his creativity."

- Cost: £75 million (potentially rising to £85 million)
- Duration: Long-term contract

Savinho's Impact
Savinho's time at City was marked by limited game time, especially after the arrival of Antoine Semenyo. In 2024-25, he registered eight Premier League assists, all from open play, despite playing only 1,773 minutes. His per-90 rate of 0.41 open-play assists was third-best in the league.
Potential Future Moves
City are also in advanced talks to sell Omar Marmoush to Tottenham, with a deal expected to be finalized before the September 1 transfer deadline.
