This was highlighted by Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly, in his message on World Tourism Day.

Strengthening Economy and Creating Opportunities

Ayaz Sadiq emphasized that the tourism sector can significantly contribute to the national economy while fostering employment opportunities and promoting Pakistan's positive global image. He believes that this sector has vast potential for growth, which could benefit local communities, youth, and women through new entrepreneurial ventures.

World Tourism Day Theme: Embracing Digital Transformation

This year's World Tourism Day theme, "Tourism and the Digital Agenda for Redefining Tourism," was noted by Ayaz Sadiq. He suggested that leveraging modern technology and artificial intelligence could enhance destination promotion, travel planning, and service delivery, making tourism experiences more efficient and appealing.

Prioritizing Infrastructure and Environmental Conservation

The Speaker stressed the importance of providing basic facilities, improving infrastructure, and enhancing communication networks to attract tourists. However, he also reminded that while developing tourist spots, it's crucial to protect the natural environment, historical sites, and cultural heritage for sustainable tourism practices.

Collaborative Efforts for Tourism Promotion

Ayaz Sadiq called for effective collaboration between federal and provincial governments, relevant institutions, and the private sector to promote tourism. He welcomed tourists worldwide, inviting them to experience Pakistan's natural beauty, rich history, cultural diversity, and renowned hospitality.

Deputy Speaker's Message: Preserving Cultural Heritage

In a separate message, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Deputy Speaker, acknowledged Pakistan's diverse tourist attractions, cultural heritage, and historically significant sites as national treasures.
