Transfers and Appointments in Islamabad Police High Command

The Federal government has made recent changes in the high command of Islamabad Police.

Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi

Inspector General Islamabad Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has been transferred and appointed as the Director General of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). He is a Grade 20 officer in the Pakistan Police Service. This appointment is under the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control, as per Section 29(3) of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, as amended.

Capt (retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry

Meanwhile, Capt (retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, a Grade 20 PSP officer, has been appointed as the new Inspector General of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police. He was previously serving under the Government of Punjab. His appointment is effective immediately, as per Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973.
