Transparency, Accountability To Be Ensured In RDA Financial Transactions: Salman Ghani

Commissioner Rawalpindi Division and Director General Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Salman Ghani has said transparency, accountability and efficiency in the authority's financial transactions would be ensured through implementation of the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
A meeting on the implementation of SAP ERP in RDA was held at the RDA Conference Room with a team from the Financial Accounting and Budgeting System (FABS) and the Office of the Controller General of Accounts (CGA).
Director Finance RDA Masood Arshad and Deputy Director IT Dawood Khalid gave a detailed presentation on the implementation of the system and briefed participants on its various aspects.
Under the initiative, RDA's financial transactions, budgeting processes and payments will be processed through SAP ERP, a globally recognised enterprise resource planning system. The system will:
- Digitise and automate RDA's payment system.
- Strengthen internal controls.
- Reduce manual intervention.
- Provide real-time financial reporting and monitoring to support better decision-making.
Bukhari said implementation of SAP ERP was an important step towards modern governance, transparency and financial reforms through the use of advanced technology. He appreciated the cooperation and support of the Controller General of Accounts and FABS teams, saying digital transformation of the financial system would enhance institutional efficiency, strengthen financial controls and ensure a more transparent and accountable financial management system in RDA.
