Two US Envoys in Moscow for Ukraine Talks
Two of US President Donald Trump's top envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, have arrived in Moscow, Russian media reports, ahead of a weekend of high-stakes talks to end the war in Ukraine.

The pair are set to hold discussions in Moscow before travelling to Kyiv on Sunday for talks with Ukrainian officials.
Trump revealed to reporters that they will be carrying a proposal to end the conflict. However, previous efforts from the US and its allies to broker peace have not achieved a breakthrough.
US news outlet Axios reported that the envoys would meet separately with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Flight tracking data shows a US government plane landed at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport, having flown in from Helsinki, Finland, suggesting their arrival.
This is Witkoff and Kushner's first visit to Kyiv. Prior trips to Moscow have been made since Trump returned to office.
Zelensky stated that Russia conducted "demonstrative" strikes on Kyiv and Boryspil airports overnight, ahead of his scheduled meeting with US representatives. He suggested these strikes were a reaction to potential travel plans by the US delegation.
Ukraine's airspace remains closed since Russia's invasion began in February 2022.
Zelensky also revealed a Russian strike on a civilian building in the Dnipro region killed four and injured five overnight.
Witkoff and Kushner's visit follows a rare trip to Moscow by CIA Director John Ratcliffe last week, although no details were officially disclosed. Trump described the meeting as "semi-routine".
Talks held in Paris between Ukraine, Russia, and European allies last year appeared to bring a deal closer; however, disagreements remain on key issues like territory and security guarantees for Ukraine.
Recent months have seen intensification of aerial attacks from both sides. Ukraine struggles to defend against strikes due to a lack of interceptor missiles, while focusing its own attacks on Russian economic infrastructure.
