Two Arrested For Aerial Firing, Pistol Recovered

Abbottabad, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Aug, 2026) Mirpur Police have arrested two suspects for allegedly resorting to aerial firing and recovered a .30-bore pistol from their possession.

According to police, the action was taken on the directives of District Police Officer Abbottabad, Haroon Rashid Khan after a resident of Pathan Colony Jhangi reported that unidentified persons had been firing outside his house daily, creating fear and panic among his family and residents of the area.

Following the complaint, the SHO Mirpur Police Station, along with a police team, conducted a search operation and arrested Muhammad Sulaiman, son of Hafiz-ul-Haq, and Ahmad Khan, son of Rafiuddin, both residents of the area. A .30-bore pistol was recovered from their possession.

Police registered FIR No.1275 dated August 24, 2026, under Sections 506-II/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code and started further legal proceedings.

Police urged citizens to immediately report incidents of aerial firing and illegal display of weapons, warning that such acts could lead to serious injuries or loss of life.
