Two Arrested For Illegal Arms Possession In Chontra Operation

(RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Sep, 2026) Police have arrested two individuals for allegedly possessing illegal weapons and recovered a rifle, two pistols and ammunition from their possession.
According to police spokesperson, the suspects were intercepted and searched during routine checking at a police checkpoint. The weapons and ammunition were recovered during the search. Separate cases have been registered against the two suspects, who were subsequently taken into custody for further investigation.
Superintendent of Police Saddar Anum Sher commended the police team and stated that the arrested suspects would be challaned before the court with solid evidence. She added that a crackdown against criminal elements would continue across the area to ensure public safety and maintain law and order.
