Two Die of Electrocution in Separate Attock Incidents

Two people, including an activist of a religious party, died of electrocution in separate incidents in Attock on Tuesday, according to police and rescue sources. These incidents occurred amidst preparations for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) celebrations.

First Incident:

Sufi Mohammad Safdar, an elderly leader of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek and muezzin at a local mosque, died after suffering an electric shock while installing decorative lights for Milad celebrations in the jurisdiction of Pindigheb Police Station.

Second Incident:

Mehar Ali, a 19-year-old electrician from Sheerni village in Hazro, died of electrocution in the Sanjwal Chowk area within the limits of Attock Police Station.

The respective police stations registered separate cases and launched investigations into the incidents. Rescue and police officials urged citizens to exercise caution while installing electrical decorations, especially during religious events.
