Two Held For Fraud, Corruption
UrduPoint (16 September 2026, 07:10 PM) - The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle Lahore has arrested two suspects, Tasarruf Hussain and Ghulam Hassan, for alleged corruption and fraud.
According to an FIA Lahore Zone spokesperson, the arrests were made in different areas of Lahore and Sheikhupura. Hussain was caught receiving a bribe of Rs50,000, while allegedly offering to replace a citizen's electricity meter in exchange.
Meanwhile, Hassan was arrested after his pre-arrest bail was dismissed by the Lahore High Court. The FIA registered a case against him for selling and storing medicines without a licence and possessing unapproved drugs.
