Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Multan arrested two passengers at Multan International Airport for allegedly attempting to travel abroad using a fake visa and through illegal means.
According to FIA officials, the detained passengers were identified as Muhammad Ahmed and Muhammad Mohsin.
Muhammad Ahmed was attempting to travel to Burundi on flight FZ-326 using a visa that was found to be fake during immigration screening. Officials said the passenger also did not possess the required protector clearance.
In a separate action, FIA Immigration detained Muhammad Mohsin, a resident of Vehari, for allegedly attempting to travel to Europe through an illegal route.
During questioning, officials said the passenger disclosed that he had attempted to reach Europe in 2015 via Iran and Türkiye through the Taftan border. However, no corresponding travel record was found in the system. The passenger subsequently admitted during further questioning that he had attempted to travel abroad through an illegal route, according to FIA officials.
Both passengers were handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Multan for further investigation.
