UAE Continues Humanitarian Response for Flood and Landslide Victims in Nepal
The UAE, through its Aid Agency, is providing extensive humanitarian aid to the affected regions in the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, following recent floods and landslides. This support is in line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who allocated $10 million to assist the victims, facilitate early recovery, and promote stability.
Dr. Ahmed Al Mansouri, Director of the Office of the Vice Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, stated that the UAE relief team has begun distributing essential aid, including food parcels, relief supplies, and everyday items, to alleviate the suffering of those impacted by the disasters.
The UAE search and rescue team has conducted assessments in affected areas to coordinate relief efforts, assess damage, and determine the needs of the victims. Humanitarian operations are ongoing to ensure the prompt delivery of critical aid to those in need. They have also initiated field operations in collaboration with Nepalese authorities to bolster search and rescue operations and enhance coordination among relief teams.
