UAE Search and Rescue Team Continues Relief Operations in Nepal’s Rasuwa
The UAE Search and Rescue Team has continued its field operations in the Rasuwa area of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, as part of the UAE’s humanitarian efforts to support the Nepalese authorities. These operations are in response to the devastating floods that struck the country, leaving thousands dead or missing.
Field operations in Rasuwa involve advanced equipment and technologies, including drones for aerial imaging, surveying, and creating 3D maps. These measures aid in accelerating search and rescue efforts while saving time and resources.
Hammoud Al Afari, Director of UAE Relief Operations, stated that the team is deploying all available resources to provide humanitarian support under challenging conditions. Their mission includes locating missing persons in disaster-stricken areas and assessing other affected sites for continuous assistance.
