UAE Team Emirates-XRG’s del Toro Clinches Victory In Lidl Deutschland Tour Prologue

UAE Team Emirates-XRG and Isaac del Toro kicked off the Lidl Deutschland Tour with a triumphant start, with Del Toro securing victory in the opening prologue.
Raced over approximately 3 kilometers (just over 1.8 miles) in Germany, the ITT was short enough to entice most riders to begin on their road bikes.
Del Toro maintained a scintillating pace to edge out Paul Magnier (Soudal Quick-Step), securing the best time and winning the prologue. This victory marked the first-ever Mexican to lead the Deutschland Tour.
His teammate, António Morgado, also performed admirably, placing seventh in the stage.
Del Toro’s time of 3:08 secured him the leader’s jersey, followed by Magnier (Soudal Quick-Step) at a two-second deficit and Laurenz Rex (Soudal Quick-Step) five seconds behind. Morgado (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) is seventh, seven seconds off the lead.
