Ukraine to Restart Strikes on Russian Oil Refineries, Zelensky Says

BBC News reports that Ukraine will resume strikes on Russian oil refineries, as stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He accused the US of withdrawing crucial support, including intelligence-sharing and slowing down Starlink satellite services used by Ukraine's military.

Zelensky revealed he had temporarily halted such attacks for three days at Washington's request, while Russia continued striking Ukrainian energy infrastructure, leading him to declare, "We're done."

Key Accusations:

  • US withdrawing intelligence-sharing on Russian strikes.
  • Slowing down Starlink satellite services used by Ukraine's military.
  • Betrayal by the US over the recent "energy ceasefire" deal.

Zelensky accused Russia of ignoring the proposed deal within hours of its announcement, resulting in power cuts for hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians.

He expressed a more defiant tone, stating that he felt betrayed by the US and questioning US President Donald Trump's relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Ukraine will only halt strikes on Russian oil infrastructure if the US provides more Patriot air defense missiles.
