UoG Holds Orientation Programme For New Students

The University of Gujrat (UoG) organised an orientation programme for newly enrolled students to help them familiarise themselves with:
- Academic programmes
- University rules and regulations
- Administrative offices
- Available student facilities.
This event was initiated by the Student Services Centre (SSC) on the directions of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zahoor-ul-Haq, Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, following the completion of admissions for the Fall 2026 semester.
A university source stated that orientation sessions were also held at various academic departments, where deans, chairpersons, heads of departments and faculty members welcomed the new students and discussed the university’s academic and cultural values.
Student society representatives and (SSC) staff guided the students through different academic and administrative sections, providing information about available facilities and student services. Gifts were also distributed among the new students.
Prof Dr Zahoor-ul-Haq emphasised that intelligent and hardworking students are a valuable asset to the country, and providing quality education, research opportunities, and practical skills is among the university’s key responsibilities.
The orientation activities were supervised and coordinated by Director (SSC) Shama Tahseen and Assistant Director Mian Khurram Irshad.
