UoM Hosts Workshop On Biodiversity, Climate Resilience
The University of Malakand (UoM) on Tuesday hosted a workshop aimed at promoting biodiversity conservation, environmental research and climate resilience through stronger academic and community partnerships. Organised in collaboration with the University of the West of England (UWE-Bristol), UK, the “Nature-Link Workshop Series on Biodiversity Monitoring & Climate Resilience” was held under the British Council-funded “Going Global Partnerships” initiative.
The workshop brought together stakeholders focusing on strengthening research cooperation, sharing knowledge and developing practical approaches to biodiversity monitoring and climate change challenges. The initiative also aimed to foster collaboration among universities, government departments, non-governmental organisations and local communities for coordinated efforts to protect ecosystems and enhance climate resilience.
The organisers emphasised the importance of engaging young researchers and developing their capacity to address emerging environmental challenges through research, innovation and collaborative action.
