A US F-16 fighter jet crashed near the American airbase in Germany. According to a British news agency, a spokesperson for Spangdahlem Air Base confirmed that a US F-16 fighter jet had crashed, while the pilot safely ejected from the aircraft.
The spokesperson stated that the pilot was injured and had been taken to hospital for medical treatment. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash, the spokesperson added. The incident occurred shortly before 12 F-16 aircraft departed from the US airbase in Germany for the middle east.
