WASA Continues Dewatering Operation In Gujrat
GUJRAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th Sep, 2026) The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Gujrat has continued dewatering operations across the city to drain accumulated rainwater and provide immediate relief to citizens.
According to an official source, WASA field teams, under the direct supervision of Managing Director Kashan Hafeez Butt, are carrying out dewatering operations at various locations using 42 dewatering sets and heavy machinery. The teams are also conducting dewatering operations beyond WASA jurisdiction wherever required to ensure timely relief to affected citizens.
The source said accumulated water was being drained on a priority basis, while field operations were continuing round the clock to keep the drainage system functional and clear affected areas.
The managing director directed the field teams to ensure a prompt response in affected areas, effective deployment of dewatering equipment and provision of maximum possible relief to citizens.
