WASA Pays Tribute to Pak Armed Forces on Defence Day
WASA pays tribute to Pakistan's armed forces on Defence Day, renewing solidarity with nation's defenders.
Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) marked the occasion with a solemn ceremony at its head office, where officials and staff honored the courage and valor of Pakistan's Armed Forces, along with remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country's security and sovereignty.
The event, held on the directives of WASA Managing Director Engineer Saqib Raza, included prayers for the martyrs who served in the line of duty. A cake was cut to commemorate September 6, 1965, the day Pakistan successfully defended itself against aggressive enemy designs.
Deputy Director Administration and Finance WASA, Waseem Baloch, Deputy Director Administration Sana Mehboob, Assistant Director Umar Farooq, Ehsan Siddiqui, Staff Officer Ghulam Mujtaba, Caretaker Muhammad Ahmad Dogar, and other officials participated.
Speakers emphasized the role of Pakistan's armed forces as guardians of the homeland, highlighting their exceptional courage displayed during the 1965 war. They noted that the sacrifices of national martyrs continue to inspire generations.
The ceremony concluded with a solidarity rally, where WASA officials and staff reaffirmed their support for Pakistan's armed forces, paying tribute to the martyrs and Ghazis who defended the country with bravery and devotion.
