National Assembly Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai has stated that negotiations will only continue after a meeting with Imran Khan, the former prime minister.

Addressing a public gathering in Zhob, Achakzai emphasized that any solution to the political crisis requires a dialogue between his party and Imran Khan. He assured that discussions will not cease until all issues are resolved.

"We guarantee that after meeting Imran Khan, negotiations will not end until all issues are addressed," Achakzai said.

He further added that political parties should agree on the supremacy of the Constitution to resolve the crisis. Achakzai also threatened to resist strongly if governor's rule is imposed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, promising protests across the country.

"We do not accept the Shehbaz government," he declared.

Achakzai clarified that there will be no meeting regarding the appointment of the chief election commissioner at the prime minister's or speaker's office. He expressed willingness to discuss the matter at Nawaz Sharif's residence in Murree, but insisted on adherence to constitutional procedures.

This stands in continuation of Achakzai's previous statement that the first condition for responding to the government's outreach should be a meeting with Imran Khan. He had suggested that the government could make positive strides by releasing certain individuals, and that a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would be meaningless without one with the former prime minister.

Achakzai even hinted at the possibility of refusing to meet with the prime minister if a meeting with Imran Khan is denied.
