We Remain in Contact With Mohsin Naqvi, But Won’t Share Details: Barrister Gohar

We do not take any step without Imran Khan’s approval; at present, there are no talks with the government or through any back channel, and while the legal matter stands on its own, negotiations for a political solution should begin soon, says the PTI chairman.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar stated that he maintains contact with Mohsin Naqvi and has never denied it, but will not disclose details of their communication.
While addressing journalists in Islamabad, Barrister Gohar emphasized that dialogue is Imran Khan’s policy, and the decision on engagement tactics is solely his call. He added:
“We do not take any step without his approval.”
Barrister Gohar expressed that they have consistently advocated negotiations, forming committees in this regard; however, the government has lacked sincerity, viewing their efforts as weaknesses. According to him, there are currently no negotiations ongoing with the government or through back channels. He further stated:
“The legal matter has its own place, but negotiations for a political solution should begin soon.”
The PTI chairman stressed that any potential talks should be conducted seriously and sincerely, without the policy of delaying responses.
In response to a question regarding the prime minister’s letter, Barrister Gohar confirmed:
“The prime minister had written a letter; we have finally received it.”
