PTI has raised demands that are not difficult to meet, and the situation is being exacerbated by the government, which warns that escalating political tensions could severely damage the economy and security.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Sep, 2026) Former minister and political leader Fawad Chaudhry questioned why the government was provoking PTI into a long march. He stated that fulfilling PTI's demands would pose no challenge.

“It's beyond comprehension why the government is forcing PTI into a long march,” he stated, referring to the party's conditions. He noted that the demands, such as providing treatment and access to Imran Khan and political prisoners, are harmless.

Chaudhry continued, “The government is clearly making matters worse. Why doesn’t the government understand that rising political tensions will severely impact the economy and security?”

He further expressed concern about extreme measures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating they would turn even safe areas into "a field of fire and blood." He emphasized the importance of giving each other space and avoiding pushing the country into further crisis.

Recall that PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar had threatened resistance if governor's rule or an emergency was imposed, stating that governor's rule cannot be justified under the pretext of terrorism.

Speaking at Dahgal Naka, Gohar affirmed the PTI's march on October 4. He invited PPP leaders to attend an All Parties Conference, which, according to him, would discuss the country's political situation, security in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and provincial autonomy.

Gohar highlighted the seriousness of the arrest and detention of parliamentarians, urging all parties to agree on a future course of action. He emphasized the need to address PTI's apprehensions and protect provincial autonomy. He also criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for targeting even PTI's own ministers, describing it as a significant blow to the government's authority and provincial autonomy.
