Why is it so hard to fight the Houthis?

BBC News - Middle East

Saudi Arabia's energy minister has vowed to respond to attacks on the kingdom's airports and oil/gas facilities by Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi movement.

This comes after Houthi missiles struck Riyadh, killing at least 14 and injuring over 300 in two airport strikes. They also targeted oil facilities and Dammam airport in eastern Saudi Arabia, according to their military spokesman.

The Houthis claimed retaliation for "brutal Saudi aggression" against areas they control in western Yemen.

[BBC Security Correspondent Frank Gardner](unpublished link) explains how the Houthis' precision strikes and guerrilla tactics make it difficult for Saudi forces to gain an upper hand.
