Wildfire Destroys Dozens of Homes in the US State of Nevada

LOS ANGELES, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 25th Aug, 2026) Firefighters battling a fast-moving wildfire in the US state of Nevada made significant progress on Monday, with the blaze containing at 27 percent.
The so-called Hawk Fire in hilly terrain near Reno has destroyed 32 homes and damaged another six, according to preliminary assessments. Fire Chief Richard Edwards warned that these numbers could increase.
The fire, which has been spreading rapidly since Saturday, has now consumed over 6,000 hectares. Seven people, including three firefighters, have been injured.
