Work Pace On Ongoing Projects Reviewed
SARGODHA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st Aug, 2026) A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry regarding ongoing development projects in all four tehsils of Sargodha district: Bhera, Bhalwal, Sillanwali, and Sahiwal, under the Chief Minister Punjab Development Program.
The meeting reviewed the progress made so far on various projects, funds released and used, and details of future funds required. The meeting was attended by Assistant Director PDP Hamid Chatta, AD Development Muhammad Taqi, and MOIs of all four tehsils.
The officers concerned provided a detailed briefing to the Deputy Commissioner regarding:
- The progress made on the most critical, critical, and non-critical projects.
- Funds utilization.
- Future requirements.
It was informed that under the Chief Minister Punjab Development Program, various projects are underway in Sargodha district for the provision of basic urban facilities including:
- Sewerage
- Rainwater drainage
- Road construction and repair
- Machinery
- Parks
- Disposal stations
- Solar energy
- Wastewater treatment
Regarding the proposed development cost by tehsil:
- Salanwali: Rs 3 billion 65.36 million
- Bhera: Rs 5 billion 24.53 million
- Bhalwal: Rs 6 billion 96.97 million
- Sahiwal: Rs 3 billion 58.32 million
The Deputy Commissioner directed that the pace of work on all ongoing projects under the Chief Minister’s program should be accelerated and project completion within stipulated periods ensured at all costs. He emphasized that no compromise would be made on development project quality, speed, and transparency. He further directed concerned officers to ensure complete consistency in funds utilization and practical progress in ongoing projects.
