A delegation of students from Youth Parliament Pakistan (YPP), a non-governmental organisation, visited the Police Lines headquarters in Rawalpindi on Thursday. They received insights into various police departments and modern policing systems from ASP New Town, DSP Administration, and other officers.
Highlights of their visit:
- A tour of the Command and Control Room, learning about its modern monitoring system and technology’s role in public safety.
- A visit to the Complaint Cell, understanding the process for registering and resolving citizens’ complaints.
- A tour of the Tahafuz Centre, Pakistan’s first centre dedicated to protecting transgender rights and providing them with necessary facilities.
The students were also briefed on support provided to citizens, particularly women, children, and affected persons.
Certificates were distributed to the students upon their return, and they presented shields to ASP New Town, DSP Administration, and other officers in appreciation of their services.
