13 Policemen Dismissed Over Corruption, Misuse of Authority
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 16, 2026) | Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar has dismissed 13 policemen from service following departmental proceedings over allegations of corruption, misconduct, and misuse of authority.
All the dismissed officials belonged to Khyber Police and had served at various important checkposts, including Landi Kotal and Torkham. According to police, serious complaints regarding these issues had been received against the officials over an extended period. Following departmental proceedings and establishment of the allegations, the CCPO ordered their dismissal from service.
The CCPO stated that the police department would take strict action against personnel found involved in corruption and other forms of misconduct, adding that disciplinary measures would continue without discrimination to maintain transparency and accountability in the force.
